We are more than delighted to report that Lions sports academy secured their position to represent Wangchieng ward to sub county in wanga tournament.
In preliminaries, the boys knocked out kanyangwena Fc beating them 1-0 , a goal scored by Kevin Ojunga . in quarterfinals, we the boys squared it with Kobuya fc which ended in penalties shootouts in favor of lions.
Moreover, in semifinals, the wrath of lions landed on the stubborn Kajie FC beating them 3-1, a thrilling march that made ken Ajuaga the best player.
However, in finals we couldn’t sustain the tempo as our boys had played many games. we were beaten by Redstarts fc on penalties 6-5.
Training and preparations continue as we hope for the best as we will play on 11th Dec.
